As we look back on 2019, it is amazing to see how God has truly blessed Keaton’s Angel Homes. We officially launched Keaton’s Angel Homes in Feb. 2019, after years of vision, paperwork, and careful planning. The past 11 months have kept us busy with many wonderful opportunities and ways to share about what we are doing in the lives of special needs orphans in Taiwan and India.
Keaton’s Angel Homes has been so fortunate to have many people come along side us as monthly supporters, one-time supporters, and prayer warriors. This past year Keaton’s Angel Homes hosted a fun run, auction, bake sale, and t-shirt fundraiser. We had many speaking engagements, participated in local Vacation Bible Schools, and enjoyed a big Block Party fundraiser. We are looking forward to all that 2020 has to offer. We love to share our story, what we are doing, and why, so please contact us if you would like Keaton’s Angel Homes to speak in your area.
Our home in Taitung, Taiwan, is well on its way. Deana and Luke Pan are finishing up the last of the paperwork to make Keaton’s Angel Homes an official home for special needs orphans in Taiwan. There is such a huge need for a home like this in Taiwan. Most special needs orphans with feeding tubes live their lives out in nursing homes for the elderly. That is just heartbreaking. Once the doors are opened in 2020, we expect the home to fill up quickly. We are also excited about the other ministries we are working on that will take place in our home in Taiwan. Those ministries include respite care, education for parents with special needs children, and hospice care.
Our home in Tamil Nadu, India, is moving along quickly. We were able to complete the “Blessing Box” this summer. This is a special room where babies can be left in a safe and secure place and will then be brought into the care Keaton’s Angel Homes. There is a terrible problem in India of babies being abandoned in ditches, alleys, and garbage dumps. We wanted to provide a safe place for babies who cannot be cared for by their birth family. We had several board members travel to India last year to begin the process of preparing the home and working on other projects. One of our board members moved to India in Aug. to finish the last of the official paperwork on the India side of things and start stocking the home with clothes and supplies for the children.
We would not be where we are today without the love and support of so many. We truly believe that every child, no matter where they are born, what their special needs are, or how long the Lord has planned for them here on earth, deserves to feel God’s love from God’s people. That’s what Keaton’s Angel Homes is, it’s being the hands and feet of Jesus to those the world considers the least of these.
We hope you will consider partnering with us in 2020. We are always looking for more monthly donors, prayer partners, and new fundraising ideas. Thank you for helping make a difference in the lives of special needs orphans around the world. “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” -James 1:27
